Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has confirmed plans for New Zealand’s hosting of the APEC CEO Summit 2021 in November.
The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit is a premier business forum, attracting influential business leaders from some of the largest companies in the world.
This year’s summit will be hosted on November 11-12 as a hybrid event, with attendees in Auckland joining virtual participants from around the world.
Touted as the most dynamic regional economy, APEC is considered to be a key component in helping New Zealand rebuild post-COVID.
Te Taumata Chairman Chris Karamea Insley describes the summit as a “once in a generation opportunity”.
“It is not everyday New Zealand and Māori business are afforded the opportunity to promote our products and services to the leaders representing 60 per cent of the global economy.
“At Te Taumata, we will do everything we can to showcase our exceptional Māori and whānau enterprise to the world.”
