Countdown on for largest-ever Te Taumata trade hui

Countdown on for largest-ever Te Taumata trade hui

The countdown is on! Hosted by Foreign Affairs Minister, Nanaia Mahuta, the Global Trade Strategy and Māori hui will take place at parliament next Tuesday.

We anticipate this will be one of the most significant hui ever held in Aotearoa New Zealand relating to Māori trade.

Bringing together Māori business leaders and government officials, Te Taumata will facilitate the day’s agenda and focus on how we can improve the lives of our whānau through the implementation of free trade agreements.

The hui promises diverse and robust kōrero that will lead to tangible outcomes for our people.

As part of this hui, Te Taumata has also produced a report outlining the role we’ve played in global trade since our inception in 2019. Titiro whakamuri, kōkiri whakamua – Our work doesn’t end here but we wanted to take the time to reflect on what we have achieved so far, and what we are aiming for in the future.

You can read the full report, available now on our website, by scanning the QR code above.

I look forward to seeing you all next week. If you are unable to attend in person but would still like to be involved, please join us on our livestream here
