Te Taumata and Te Kotahi Institute have partnered to create Tauhokohoko, a five-year research project aimed at Indigenising trade policy, measurement, and facilitation. Tauhokohoko aspires to revitalise the trade our ancestors engaged in. Indigenous trade has the potential to transform trade policy, enabling mana motuhake (autonomy), huanga (benefits), and wajora (wellbeing).
This month sees the entire research teams including iwi taketake (indigenous people) from across the globe meet for the inaugural hui-a-tau to establish a detailed programme of work.
