Te Pūtea Whakatupu Trust is encouraging rangatahi leaders across the motu to apply for its next round of funding.

Te Pūtea Whakatupu Trust is encouraging rangatahi leaders across the motu to apply for its next round of funding.

The Trust offers philanthropic funds to initiatives that enable rangatahi to pursue excellence within the education, science, leadership, and innovation sectors.

There is $35,000 worth of funding available through two funds:

–       Tonganui scholarship –  a $10,000 grant designed to accelerate talented, Māori professionals in pursuit of education or research that advances tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori and Te Ao Māori within the oceans sector.

–       Pou Herenga Tangata Award – an annual fund of $25,000 (consisting of five $5000 awards) that aims to support rangatahi Māori to become our next generation of leaders. Successful recipients will be rangatahi Māori (aged 16-24) who aspire to become leaders in their community.

Applications close 15 September.
