Te Taumata thanks Jacinda Ardern as she heads to Rātana Pā for her last official outing as Prime Minister.

Te Taumata wishes to acknowledge and thank Jacinda Ardern for her leadership over the past five years, as she heads to Rātana Pā for her last official outing as Prime Minister.

Leading a country is no easy feat, but Prime Minister Ardern has navigated the challenges of the role – including a terrorist attack, volcanic eruption and global pandemic – with humility and empathy. 

As the premier voice and advocate for Māori on international trade, Te Taumata has worked tirelessly to transform the relationship between Māori businesses and the Government.

Under Ardern’s leadership, the Labour Government has come to the table and has committed to working with Māori for better trade outcomes.

This will be part of Prime Minister Ardern’s enduring legacy and Te Taumata looks forward to building on this new standard of partnership and collaboration in the future.
